The “Militant terror-thugs” are releasing hostages? Yay!! Oh wait… they’re taking more hostages. Darn! Oh wait… they’re releasing some more!!! Yay! Oh wait…

That seems to be what we’ve been hearing the last two or so days. I just find all of this taking hostages and freeing hostages as a bit strange from a strategic standpoint.

Why take and release and then take hostages again? Could it be that the “Militant terror-thugs” are just toying with the coalition forces, the US government and our Governing Council in Iraq? Why the flip-flop? Ohmygosh! Could it be that they “Militant terror-thugs” have eaten the same psycodelic mushrooms that John Kerry ate on his pizza? Is that why both JOHN KERRY and the “MILITANT TERROR-THUGS” are flip-flopping? I mean, good grief! if it’s not the Russians or the Pakistanis or the Japanese or the Turks it’s US civilians or whoever else…

Dennis Prager speaks on Liberals…

This is sweet! Dennis Prager has absolutely nailed down in one statement, one sound-byte, one quote, exactly what I’ve been so frustrated with Liberals and their current self-destructive tendency to “hate Bush” at all costs. Paraphrasing his radio comments, Prager said something to the effect of:

“Liberals are all about “hate Bush” and little else. Liberals, unfortunately for us all, are playing right into the hands of a PROPOGANDA WAR by the Islamic terrorists while we are in the midst of a WAR ON TERROR by the same people.”

They, in essence, are helping to sell us and our country down the river in the theatre of public opinion, world opinion and in the theatre of war! That directly goes to the earlier posts that I and countless other Conservative bloggers have been screaming about for months! Excellent quote, Dennis!!!

Breaking News from NewsMax.com

Police Report Sheds Doubt on ‘Theft’ of Kerry’s FBI Files

The author who alleges that three boxes of FBI files dealing with Democrat presidential candidate John Kerry’s anti-war group were stolen from his home last month did not allow police officers to process the crime scene.

The police report of the incident also neglects to mention that the Kerry campaign dispatched a messenger to the home of author Gerald Nicosia to pick up copies of the FBI files a week before the alleged theft of the documents. More here…

washingtonpost.com | Marines Find Evidence of Suicide Squads

Quote clipped from the article:

“I say goodbye with tears in my eyes and heart, and I ask God for victory,” read one letter, which suggested the writer’s parents had tried to stop him from leaving home. “Father, don’t blame yourself. I am happy to be here,” it said. “Mother, don’t be weak. Raise your children to be martyrs for the cause.”

It is such a shame, on a human level, that Muslim people have to die for propagandists who prey on the fear of simple, unlearned -AND- learned men and women of faith. Bin Laden is a religious extremist-opportunist and ex-Iraqi president Saddam Hussein used brutality and insidious tactics to rule with an iron fist. People deserve liberty. People deserve freedom. People deserve the respect of their leaders.

The Line Between Dissent & Treachery

Right Wing News, a favorite blog of mine, just posted this great article, The Line Between Dissent & Treachery, about that never ending question: Where does the line stop at dissent and become sedition and treason?

I, for one, would like to know how any American citizen with a “lick of sense” can claim the tribute of patriotism who would knowingly ally themselves behind the very enemy who is killing their children and neighbors and family members. Militant Islamic extremists, those terror thugs who beat on burned corpses of American citizens or who kidnap innocents in the name of a “holy war?” are the last persons on this earth I would rally behind.

It seems that the liberal American has absolutely taken leave of their senses… because that’s all they’re doing nowadays. It’s perfectly acceptable and legal in this country to question authority, question government and peaceably assemble in protest of anything whatsoever. “Legal protests” notwithstanding, there is a clear and distinct line in the sand drawn between protest and villainy and those who pretend to hide behind the banner of politics and politicking to disguise their vile wretchedness are aiding and giving comfort to the enemy.

That, my friends, is treasonous.

Freedom to Preach Hate From Prison Cell?

The L.A. Times reports that life in an Indonesian Prison for Islamic cleric Abu Bakar Bashir is anything but “hard labor”.

Surrounded by followers, assistants and journalists, Abu Bakar Bashir expounds on the views that helped land him in prison and demonstrates that being behind bars is no impediment to spreading his message of a holy war against the American infidels.

“As long as America has the intention of waging war with Islam,” he says, “it is a must for Muslims all over the world to defend themselves against America’s attack.”

The main point of irritation in this article for me is the fact that he’s been allowed so many interviews via cellphone, he’s allowed (by virtue of the journalists publishing his views) to spread such vitriolic words that flash like gunpowder over an already tense subject. It’s so bad, that the L.A. Times article was titled, Freedom to Preach Hate From Prison Cell

“America’s aim in attacking Iraq is to attack Islam,” he said, “so it is justified for Muslims to target America to defend themselves.”

Another election year where politics are eroding the rule of law and order for the security of the country:

Western diplomats complain that the government of President Megawati Sukarnoputri is treating Bashir gingerly out of a misguided fear that Muslims might turn against the president’s party during this year’s elections.

I am completely amazed that the Indonesian government is allowing this kind of interaction with the press. I think this will have to be dealt with. Letting an inmate of this magnitude and position have what amounts to free reign of the press is a bad idea for a number of reasons.

“We find it hard to believe that he is making pronouncements to the press — in support of terrorists — from his prison cell,” said a senior U.S. official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Hmmm… this is a weird one.
