In typical rock star fashion, the “Obamessiah” has captured the hearts of the entire globe. National leaders are rallying behind Barak Obama like crazy-eyed teenage girls, their hearts all beating nervously trying to catch a glimpse of the exhalted One.

EU’s Solana congratulates Obama on winning U.S. election — The European Union (EU)’s top diplomat, Javier Solana, sent a message of congratulations Wednesday to U.S. president-elect Barack Obama on his victory in Tuesday’s election. “I want to congratulate Barack Obama on his impressive election victory,” Solana, secretary-general of the EU Council, said in a statement.

…then there’s this from Italy:

Italy’s Berlusconi hails “suntanned” Obama — Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi gave an enthusiastic, if unconventional, welcome on Thursday to the election of Barack Obama, citing among his attributes youth, good looks and a “suntan.”

Cuba hails Obama win, hopes US embargo will ease — Cuba hails US President-elect Barack Obama’s presidential election victory and would one day welcome an easing of the 46-year-old US trade embargo, Foreign Investment Minister Marta Lomas said in a statement.

Barack Obama is an “historic victory” for the world and an opportunity to change U.S. foreign policy toward engagement with America’s foes, Ahmed Yousef, Hamas’ chief political adviser in the Gaza Strip, told WND in an exclusive interview today.

Yousef, speaking by cell phone from Gaza, said Hamas is drafting a letter of congratulation to be sent tomorrow directly to Obama. He said the current draft of the letter praises the president-elect as “another John F. Kennedy, or great Roosevelt.”

“We want to be one of the first to congratulate him,” Yousef said.

It was mentioned to me, before the final debate, just how fast it became apparent that the Democrat party elite was beginning to feel “buyer’s remorse” at their golden child, Barak Obama. Well, the high is strong, the euphoria is still strong…let’s hope the dude’s got some crazy mad skills we never knew about in the “Clean up Washington D.C.” category.

I can dream, can’t I?

The Iran / British hostage situation is now over. Everything is back to normal and all the children in the world have a stick of beef jerky in their dirty, poverty-stricken hands and warm clothes on their shirtless backs. Peace and happiness abounds! Yay!

The captured British military persons (aka. the hostages) have been given tacit approval to sell their hostage stories for monetary gain and a mad bully now knows he can do what he wants with impunity.

Ahmadinejad has been called a bully, a madman, a hitler in a headscarf, and other names — all not too far from the truth. But one thing is for sure, although the Mullacracy in Tehran has their eyes on his every action, this wily fox is not someone to underestimate.

Care has to be given to each and every tense situation — to use diplomacy or force. And although the nations of the world will condemn every unilateral movement of force or military pressure by Britain or America or Israel or whomever upon any Islamic or Arab nation, America and every freedom loving allied nation must keep resolve and a firm backbone in the face of this petite devil. Otherwise, we all become as the whimpering child in the playground deathfuly afraid of the neighborhood bully.

And it looks like Bolton was right, Iran won this round. Iron-clad borders, notwithstanding, this is a recipe for disaster.

The story is all too familiar. He or she who criticizes Islam is subject to death. Seems Islamic folk just can take knowing someone out there can’t stand the oppressive world of Islam. When SPIEGEL Online interviewed Somali-born Ayaan Hirsi Ali we learned just how the all-hallowed Islamic masters treat dissent.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Dutch politician forced to go into hiding after the murder of filmmaker Theo van Gogh, responds to the Danish cartoon scandal, arguing that if Europe doesn’t stand up to extremists, a culture of self-censorship of criticism of Islam that pervades in Holland will spread in Europe. A short bio of Hirsi Ali is included for perspective:

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is one of the most sharp-tongued critics of political Islam — and a target of radical fanatics. Her provocative film “Submission” led to the assassination of director Theo van Gogh in November 2004. The attackers left a death threat against Hirsi Ali stuck to his corpse with a knife. After a brief period in hiding, the 36-year-old member of Dutch parliament from the neo-liberal VVD party has returned to parliament and is continuing her fight against Islamism. She recently published a book, “I Accuse,” and is working on a sequel to “Submission.”

Hirsi Ali was born in Somalia where she experienced the oppression of Muslim women first hand. When her father attempted to force her into an arranged marriage, she fled to Holland in 1992. Later, she renounced the Muslim religion.

Good for her. Seems to me those that claim their religion to be the Truth, shouldn’t mind a little criticism. After all, if they’re wrong (those who criticize Islam), who cares what they say?

Is it strange that some Islamic royalty understand that all the might of Islam in the world cannot ever defeat Israel and the Jewish people? I don’t think so. Because the Bible says that the hand of God is with Israel. What I find interesting is the fact that with all the untold millions of Jews and Christians that Islam has slain throughout the last thousand or so years, with all the cities and villages sacked and razed by militant Islamic warlords over the last thousand or so years, and with all the peoples that Muslim’s have strove to subjugate and control…Islam still is a third-rate religion where people are oppressed, barbarism and brutality still reign supreme and enlightenment and civility have yet to become commonplace.
