Today it makes little difference where you get your news. You’ll most likely see some kind of article discussing the political victory in Tuesday’s Coakley-vs.-Brown palooza. Almost immediately, all the news outlets began asking the same question: What does this victory mean? Every answer imaginable has blanketed the comment sections of political blogs, online polls, OpEd pages, etc. And, after the dust has settled on Tuesday’s election, no doubt we will have gleaned several good lessons.

But, it occurred to me: America reacted against the blatant hypocrisy when the previous Republican-controlled Congress lurched to the left and elected the opposite party the next chance they could. America also reacted against the blatant hypocrisy when the Democrat-controlled Congress lurched even further to the left. And now a Conservative (and by some reports a Conservative not in blind lock-step with either Democrat or Republican party) will ascend to the “people’s seat” in a state with a very liberal history.

America must keep her “goodness” by continuing to recognize good and reacting violently to expel evil from within its body politic. I believe the Conservative path will continue to be the only path of liberty and freedom. It’s the path of the sovereign nation state, not the global village. It’s the path of personal and religious liberty and political freedoms, not mindless multiculturalism and political correctness. That same historic path that Boston once took that gave to all the greatest and most benevolent nation the world has ever known has now given us another chance to reflect and repent as we strive for national redemption.

So, thank you, Massachusetts! Your votes have slapped the hypocritical smirk off the faces of the political elite. Your votes have illuminated and enlightened us all and proven that the righteous path is a conservative path where freedom deals the death knell to oppression and tyranny.

Heard Dec. 9–12th on WallBuildersLive.com radio program, former Congressman Bob McEwen speaks some eternal truths on the direction that our terribly troubled country must go.

Listen to all four audio files (mp3) in order. I think it will amaze you that there are still Conservative and truly God fearing men with firm principles, willing to stand strong and speak the Truth to this nation. Too bad he is no longer in Congress.

It seems unbelievable that our nation has recently went headlong into madness…the likes of which I have never seen before. But, it’s happening. It’s here and it is as clear as a confirmation can be.

Wrong is suddenly right. Evil is suddenly sainted. The regard for the rule of law is suddenly an afterthought. A horrific national blindness and delusion has gripped the United States and its citizenry. Seems so strong that even right-thinking and well-regarded individuals are giving up their past convictions.

Thanks to Michelle Malkin for finding this and posting this on her blog. We need to spread this post, so I’m doing my part.

Michelle Malkin » “I have a plan to destroy America”
by Richard D. Lamm

I have a secret plan to destroy America. If you believe, as many do, that America is too smug, too white bread, too self-satisfied, too rich, let’s destroy America. It is not that hard to do. History shows that nations are more fragile than their citizens think. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and they all fall, and that “an autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.” Here is my plan:

I once heard it this way, “Every nation that has fallen, has fallen from within.” I heard this phrase back in the mid-80′s when I was just a teenager and it really struck a chord with me that we as a people have an opportunity — Free Will, if you will — to either live or die as a people and as a nation. We have a choice to make to stay on the course that our Founders laid out for us or to “CHANGE” for the sake of changing. It seems that rational minds have become scarce in an age of PhDs and MBAs. Our institutions of higher learning have failed to teach our next generation precisely “how” to think, instead teaching them “what’ to think. Scoundrels in key positions of influence have sold us all a “bill of goods”. Leftist professors who believe their position requires them to “profess” their own feelings and beliefs are teaching our children to love diversity, multi-culturalism, political correctness and ultimately the notion of one-world globalism.

While Giuliani Reaffirms his Pro-Choice Stance on Abortion, he has been involved much more questionable and downright objectionable…associations:

The August Review – Giuliani Linked to “NAFTA Superhighway” — Brit Hume said on the Fox News Sunday program that it is possible that Republican frontrunner Rudy Giuliani could overcome his convoluted posturing on abortion and secure the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. But Giuliani has some other major problems. These include foreign clients, one of whom is constructing part of the “NAFTA Superhighway” project that has people in Texas and around the nation up in arms.
…
Evidence shows that NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement involving the U.S., Canada and Mexico, is being expanded without congressional approval or oversight as part of a plan to create an economic and political entity known as the North American Union NAU. Federal documents uncovered by Judicial Watch quote participants in the scheme as saying that an “evolution by stealth” strategy is being used to put the pieces into place. Documents also speak of developing a common security perimeter and a common identification card for citizens of the three countries.

Every single Conservative American citizen should be aware that although Giuliani has some noble traits with the whole “America’s Mayor” thing during the 911 incident, I hesitate to call him the material so desperately sought after for consideration to the highest office in the land, perhaps the world.

Giuliani’s recent pro-abortion speech left many saying,

“Overall, I thought it was a great speech,” said Erik Mignault, a 25-year-old political science major. “I think it was a good political stance to take. He’s sitting right in the middle.”

Now, I ask you… do you want a candidate, much less a President that has abhorred abortion all his life, but now finds himself much more comfortable with the position of killing of unborn babies when faced with unwaning publicity? Right down the middle tries to satisfy everyone and satisfies no one at the same time. That’s my take on the matter.

Wow, this is an easy-to-read article that explains pretty well my feelings on the latest spectacle of sad buffoonery from our elected representatives.

The Iraq Surrender Act of 2007 by Joe Mariani — Both House and Senate have now sent a clear message to the world: Osama bin Laden was right. America does not have the stomach for a fight. We cannot stand the sight of our own blood. Our allies, especially those in Iraq who are depending on us to help them stabilise their country, get the message loud and clear. So do our enemies, who now know that if they manage to hold on for another eighteen months, they will prevail. Worst of all, our troops get the message, too.

As the article explains, it’s no secret now to the whole world that our politicians are up to business as usual and have their own personal, political interests that override their duties as representatives of the US citizenry. All of the blatant pork-barreling, partisan bickering, obstinate name-calling, one-upmanship, and the like has finally taken their toll. It seems, we are unable to sustain a military campaign longer than a 30-minute sitcom.

Now, I’m not sure the President “going on strike” and refusing to sign any bill would be the best course of action, nor am I sure it would be a fruitful endeavor… but I am sure that we simply have to stop playing party politics and start being Americans, first and foremost! Until this happens, we sink and slide lower and lower towards a national abyss.

Hat tip to Chad over at IntheBullpen.com on this article: German Ex-Muslims Received Death Threats
The story is all too familiar. He or she who criticizes Islam is subject to death. Seems Islamic folk just can take knowing someone out there can’t stand the oppressive world of Islam. When SPIEGEL Online interviewed Somali-born Ayaan Hirsi Ali we learned just how the all-hallowed Islamic masters treat dissent.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Dutch politician forced to go into hiding after the murder of filmmaker Theo van Gogh, responds to the Danish cartoon scandal, arguing that if Europe doesn’t stand up to extremists, a culture of self-censorship of criticism of Islam that pervades in Holland will spread in Europe. Auf Wiedersehen, free speech.

A short bio of Hirsi Ali is included for perspective:

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is one of the most sharp-tongued critics of political Islam — and a target of radical fanatics. Her provocative film “Submission” led to the assassination of director Theo van Gogh in November 2004. The attackers left a death threat against Hirsi Ali stuck to his corpse with a knife. After a brief period in hiding, the 36-year-old member of Dutch parliament from the neo-liberal VVD party has returned to parliament and is continuing her fight against Islamism. She recently published a book, “I Accuse,” and is working on a sequel to “Submission.”

Hirsi Ali was born in Somalia where she experienced the oppression of Muslim women first hand. When her father attempted to force her into an arranged marriage, she fled to Holland in 1992. Later, she renounced the Muslim religion.

Good for her. Seems to me those that claim their religion to be the Truth, shouldn’t mind a little criticism. After all, if they’re wrong (those who criticize Islam), who cares what they say?
