WordPress 1.5

Okay…so I bit the bullet and upgraded the blog to WordPress 1.5, the latest and greatest version of a really great open-source blogging software. Wow, the Admin panel is way cool…thus far. More later….but, I’m trying a new look for the site and will be modifying and updating a little over the next week or so.
There have been a few problems. The upgrade itself was effortless and easy, as usual. However, RSS feeds suddenly took a dive and wouldn’t work in Firefox and NetNewsWireLite. So I searched the WordPress support forums and I found a fix for the RSS problems.
Here’s my search results for any to browse through, if you wish:

My fix came in the form of a slightly adjusted “wp-blog-header.php” file:

If you would like to offer any comments or tips on working with WP 1.5, I’m listening!!!

I’ve made a few modifications and added some functionality to the site.
Simple PHP Gallery tutorial by Shane Sweeney helped immensely (gotta give him props!). You can access my photo gallery here, or from the top NAV bar at the top of the page. A second, updated fix for the WordPress Gallery can be found here by Shane.
I have also added some stylized tooltips, so when you hover over one of my weblog’s internal links or a link to another site, you should notice some nice tool tips. Yet, they don’t seem to work in my second favorite browser, Safari 1.2.4 (v125.12). ![]()
It has also come to my attention that the theme (Wuhan 0.3 by Meng Gao) had some problems for both the Windows and Macintosh versions of I.E.. So, I have upgraded the theme template pages and now would like to know if you notice any design glitches in Win IE 6 or Mac IE 5.2+. Just leave a comment or contact me here.
